Is there an admission fee for Middlesex Fells Reservation?

No. Middlesex Fells Reservation is free and open to the public year-round. There is no entry fee for trails, parking, or most facilities.

What are the park hours?

The reservation is open dawn to dusk, seven days a week, year-round. Parking lots are generally open sunrise to sunset. See our Hours & Fees page for details.

Are dogs allowed at Middlesex Fells?

Yes. Dogs are welcome throughout the reservation on a leash. The Sheepfold dog park offers a large, open off-leash area — there are no separate sections for large and small dogs. It's one of the bigger off-leash areas around.

Can I go swimming at Middlesex Fells?

No. Swimming is prohibited throughout the Middlesex Fells Reservation, including Spot Pond, Bellevue Pond, Wright's Pond, and all reservoirs. This rule is enforced by the DCR year-round. See our Swimming page for more information and nearby alternatives.

Can I fish at Middlesex Fells?
