Trail Map of Middlesex Fells Reservation
Middlesex Fells Reservation has over 100+ miles of trails spread across 2,575 acres in five towns. The trail map below covers all hiking, biking, and multi-use trails throughout the western and eastern sections of the reservation.
About the Trail System
Trails at Middlesex Fells are color-coded and blazed with painted markers on trees and rocks. The main trails are:
- White blazes — Skyline Trail (6.9 miles, challenging)
- White blazes — Rock Circuit Trail (3.7 miles, moderate to challenging)
- Additional trails — A network of unmarked and lightly marked paths connects throughout the reservation
The western section (Medford/Stoneham/Winchester side) contains the most rugged terrain and is where most hikers and bikers spend their time. The eastern section (Malden/Stoneham side) is generally flatter and includes Spot Pond and the Sheepfold dog park.
